AbstraktAbstract
The project aims at the experimental study of rare fission processes by a newly proposed instrumental method based on the measurement of the angular distribution of emitted fragments in coincidence together with the spatial and spectral detection of radioactive ions. Experimental information on rare fission decay processes (ternary, quaternary) fission is scarce. Data on energy spectra and angular distributions of rare fission fragments are known only in limited range and for a limited number of nuclei. The detection of fission products can include also neutrons for which the information on place of interaction and direction could be also obtained. The project is based on the design and construction of a flexible coincidence system and a modular spectrometer for acquisition and evaluation of signals from different detectors (strip, pixel, scintillating, dE detectors). Currently it has been demonstrated by the proposer the potential of semiconductor position sensitive detectors for dete
