AbstraktAbstract
The project is based on the space application of TIMEPIX radiation monitor (SATRAM) installed in Proba-V satellite for wide range radiation monitoring in LEO orbit. The key technologies: pixel detector technology (including USA Patent US 8,168,953), SATRAM Timepix spacecraft payload in open space (ESA Contracts No. 4000105089/11/NL/CBi, No. 3-6647/11/NL/CBi), Highly miniaturized and sensitive thermal neutron sensor (ESA Contract No. 22907/09/NL/CBi).• Broad applications in nuclear safety on a national level (centralized data processing by institutions such as the National Radiation Protection Institute, SÚRO), nuclear waste management, decommissioning of nuclear facilities, medical treatment (accelerators), personal dosimetry, and radiation protection. Cooperation with industrial partners, ADVACAM (producer of pixel detectors due to license agreement with IEAP CTU), NUVIA company (installation in nuclear objects, production for nuclear medicine) or SÚRO as institution responsible for nuclear control in the Czech Republic (CR).
