AbstraktAbstract

Project is devoted to support PhD students working in experimental and theoretical subatomic physics. This field of fundamental research is essential for understanding of the composition and behavior of matter and the Universe. Current frontiers of research in the field are both studies of very hot and dense matter in high-energy heavy ion collisions and low energy studies of rare decays. The obtained findings as well as developed methods can be used in broad range of applications like for example Accelerator Driven Transmutation of Nuclear Waste and/or Imaging Techniques in Medicine and Industry. Proposed PhD-team currently consists from nine students and ten undergraduate students are expected to join soon. Seven supervisors are coming from two collaborating institutions, both young and senior experienced scientists are included. Students will be involved in activities carried out by corresponding Czech teams in several international collaborations (TG II, NEMO, KATRIN, HADES, STAR, ALICE,
