AbstraktAbstract

A planar silicon detector using a of titanium diboride (TiB2) as the conversion material deposited by an electron beam-physical vapour deposition (EB-PVD) as a part of a front-side contact. Surface area of the detector was extended using anisotropic selective etching, preparing 3D structures, which are then filled with converter. The detector is able to detect neutrons with 0,05% efficiency.
