Zařízení je sesterským zařízením k dříve vyvinutému FITPix 2.0 (vysokorychlostní rozhraní USB-TimePIX). Toto rozhraní je však určeno pro čtení detektoru Medipix3 v plné rychlosti, tj. až 400 snímků za sekundu. Další vlastnosti zahrnují: nastavení předpětí detektoru v rozmezí 0-100V, integrovaný nábojový zesilovač pro detekci signálů ze společné elektrody detektoru (back side pulse).
The FITPix3.0 device is a sibling device to existing FITPix2.0 (Fast USB interface for TimePIX). The interface is inteded for reading Medipix3 in full speed of 400 frames per second. Other features include: high voltage bias setting of 0-100V, integrated charge amplifier for common (back side) electrode signal detection.
