AbstraktAbstract
Software is used for operation of the newly developer detector Widepix 4×5 and for the modular detector system Multipix. Both detecting devices were developed for the newly build thermal neutron imaging beamlines at Rez near Prague (LVR-15 fission reactor source). Both detectors are based on the so-called semiconductor hybrid pixel detector technology (Timepix chips used). Software enables controlling detectors (detector communication, data read-out, data visualization, application of various correction filters, …) as well as remote operation of all positioning stages in the respective imaging stations. Thanks to the included scripting tool, software enables operation of very complex multi-parametric measurements (such as acquiring of computed tomography scans). Thanks to open architecture in which individual modalities are implemented in a form of plugins, further software extension (implementation of new detectors, further motor stages etc.) is possible. Software can be operated under Windows, Mac OS and Linux.
