Recently invented plastic scintillator EJ-299-33 enables pulse-shape discrimination (PSD) and thus measurement ofneutronandphotonspectrainmixed fields. InthisworkwecomparethePSDproperties of EJ-299-33plasticandthewell-knownNE-213liquidscintillatorinmonoenergeticneutron fields generatedbytheVandeGraaffacceleratorusingthe 3H(d, n)4He reaction.Pulsesfromthescintillators are processedbyanewlydevelopeddigitalmeasuringsystememployingthefastdigitizercard.Thiscard contains twoADconvertersconnectedtothemeasuringcomputervia10Gbpsopticalethernet.The convertersoperatewitharesolutionof12bitsandhavetwodifferentialinputswithasamplingfre- quency1GHz.Theresultingdigitalchannelswithdifferentgainsaremergedintoonecompositechannel with ahigherdigitalresolutioninawidedynamicrangeofenergies.Neutronsignalsarefullydis- criminated fromgammasignals.Resultsarepresented
