AbstraktAbstract

Semiconductor hybrid pixel photon counting detectors (PCD) of Medipix and Timepix family offer high spatial resolution (steep response function allows the use of high geometric magnification), images with supressed electronic noise and virtually unlimited dynamic range. They are especially suitable for small samples composed of materials with low intrinsic contrast. The goal of this contribution is to present micro radiography systems built at IEAP CTU in Prague based on micro-focus X-ray tube and large area Widepix detector.
