AbstraktAbstract

To umožňuje s vysokým rozlišením a kontrastem zobrazit i objekty, u kterých standardní radiografické a tomografické systémy selhávají.

Within the IEAP CTU, the Department of Physical Applications and Technologies has long been involved in the development of non-destructive detection methods with an emphasis on X-ray micro-radiography and microtomography (micro-CT) in the fields of material engineering, cultural heritage and natural sciences. Thanks to the features of modern Timepix detector technology, it is possible to capture the slight differences between very similar materials. This makes it possible to display objects with standard radiographic and tomographic systems failing with high resolution and contrast.
