AbstraktAbstract

Phase-contrast enhanced radiographs of biological samples were obtained using a microfocus Xray tube, a Timepix/Medipix2, and a flat panel detector. Phase-contrast enhanced images were acquiredandevaluated. Theimagequalitywasanalyzedintermsofsignal-to-noiseratio,contrast, spatial resolution, and edge-enhancement for both imagers. Edge-enhancement was obtained from the image intensity profile using oversampling techniques. Superior quality radiographs were obtained with the Medipix type detector
